Why Pinterest can help you get more traffic
Simple Pin Media started in 2014 as a way to help bloggers and small business owners utilize the power of Pinterest. We’re now a full-scale marketing agency helping over 120 clients drive upwards of 13 million Pinterest led sessions to their websites every month.
We’re the Nordstrom of Pinterest management. When a client invests in our services, we take great care to understand their brand, design aesthetic and goals for their business. We take all that information and create a customized strategy using targeted keywords that hook in the pinner and encourage them to click.
Our goal is to represent their brand on Pinterest without anyone knowing it’s not them. Our team analyzes pin performance, traffic statistics via Google analytics and deliver empowering monthly reports. We take Pinterest completely off your plate so you can focus back on growing your business.
Does it work?
We know it’s difficult to determine if something is a good fit for your business. Here’s the impact some of our clients have had.
I love working with SPM because they don’t just do things in a cookie cutter way. They take the time to look at your account and determine the best course of action for you. They talk to you and are always communicating. If I want to change something – they will do it. The stats that they provide each month prove that they not only are helpful, but they have taken time to study and use Pinterest in ways that I do not see others doing.
For me, using the right people for my business is paramount to my success. There are countless people who offer services, but they just schedule and that is it. They don’t take the time to work with their clients as closely as SPM does. I can’t imagine using anyone else. — Tracie, Penny Pinchin Mom
What makes SPM unique is the level of attention and care from the entire team. I know my brand and business are in good hands with the visual identity of the pins being on point with the rest of the branding assets. I wouldn’t choose any other Pinterest management service over SPM because I like how detailed and comprehensive the team takes into consideration of my business goals and finds creative solutions to market on Pinterest that best serves my target audience. – Michelle, Beedewey
How I got started
Simple Pin was started on a wing and a prayer than it could provide for our family financially when we were living off government assistance and $1000/month. If you’ve balanced a budget lately you’ll know that those numbers are not going to sustain a family of five for very long.
While sitting at my friend’s kitchen table she suggested I start managing people’s Pinterest accounts. I have been a blog administrator running Amazon affiliate campaigns and driving traffic to her website through Facebook. But after the first big Facebook algorithm change, bloggers were no longer getting the free traffic they were accustomed to. It was time to find another channel.
Pinterest was a completely untapped source.
Her suggestion to manage Pinterest pages had merit but I had only one account I had been working with and no true experience marketing on the platform. I bought my first Pinterest course and dove headfirst into consuming everything about Pinterest marketing.
In December of 2013, I bought the domain and hired a friend to design a very simple site. I chose the name Simple Pin Media for a few reasons. One, I’m a simple gal. I like very little choices, no clutter and for all decisions in life to have a purpose. I’m not a time waster and I’m ALWAYS on time. Let’s be honest, I’m always 10 minutes early.
The business owners I had been interacting with while blogging had a list a mile long. They didn’t need another thing to add to their list, they needed it to be taken off and to feel totally confident in the person they hired. Therefore, simple was a cornerstone for it all.
Pin…obviously. And the media to add a descriptor.
I launched to the world in January of 2014 with three beta clients and truthfully, I thought it would fail. Yep, this business that I was investing in, all $1000 was going to end up going down in flames within six months. Great way to start off a biz, right?
But three clients turned into four, turned into six and then it just kept growing.
I believe all business owners need to remain teachable and must be willing to be lead by those who have gone before. In November of 2014, we made the decision to grow Simple Pin from a side hustle to a full-fledged marketing agency.
Five years later, a team of 40 and hundreds of Pinterest accounts, we can officially call ourselves an agency. We eat, sleep, breathe, study, examine and talk Pinterest all. day. long. We know how to manage in our sleep and will go to the ends of the web to find info to make it work if it’s not. We pride ourselves on delivering kick-a management but we really pride ourselves on service and helping our clients feel confident in our abilities. We got this!
If you want to hear the nitty-gritty pieces of my story start with part 1, part 2 (how I grew my team) and then bring the kleenex for my behind the business story. While growing this company, we have stepped into the foster care system, loved and lost deeply. But our story isn’t over and daily it’s being redeemed.
I run Simple Pin from my She Shed in the garden. It was an older garden shed we converted to my office. Complete with heat, air conditioning and a couch that converts to a bed. I even have a Pinterest board devoted to She Shed ideas.
A perk to knowing a lot about Pinterest is that people ask me to speak at their conferences. Truthfully, it’s one of the best parts of my job. As an extrovert, I love meeting my community and chatting all about how to help them grow their business using Pinterest.
I’ve spoken at Build Your Blog Conference, Indulge and Blended, SNAP and Social Media Marketing World as well as Activate, Everything Food, and FinCon. Need a Pinterest expert to speak at your event? I can help you at your next event.
While I do love a good Pinterest marketing chat, I also love my IRL people. Sparkly drinks, fine cheese, Charcuterie boards and great friends all top the list as some of my favorite things. I believe in cultivating my offline community as well as my online community. It helps to keep me focused and grounded. Someone has to help me ‘call my crazy’ sometimes and allow me to watch how they use Pinterest.
My husband and kids are simply the best (13, 11 and 9). The kids have no idea what it means for their parents to work traditional jobs and are constantly asking us why we are working all the time. We only work 30 hours a week, for what it’s worth.
I’m glad you’ve found me and I look forward to connecting with you on some level within the Simple Pin community!
